Frequently Asked Questions

If you plan on printing the photos, you might consider matching your outfits to a color palette that would match your home decor. Even if you don’t plan to print them, I recommend that families choose two or three colors for the color palette and then mix and match from there. If your colors are blue and white and yellow, mom could be in a blue and white floral dress, one kid can be in a yellow polo and khakis while another is in a yellow and white striped dress. You end up with cohesion without being matchy matchy!

In general, I do not offer mini sessions but I will be offering them in October and November for holiday sessions.
-
What kind of look are you going for? If you like greenery, then I love Cypress Grove Park, Lake Liky Park and Mead Gardens. If you want more architecture, I’d recommend downtown Winter Park or downtown Winter Garden. If you’d like something indoors, we can rent studio space or find other indoor locations on Peerspace.
-
It totally depends on the session, but usually somewhere between 80 and 120 images.
-
All of the images are culled through to remove test shots, blinks, or really unflattering candids. Then they are edited to make sure the brightness and color are consistent throughout.
-
I like to send sneak peeks a couple of days after the session but you will have your full gallery within 3 weeks.
-
I try to keep an eye on the weather so that we can reschedule in advance if we know it’s going to be really rainy!
-
I have 12 years of experience photographing little ones and do my best to make them feel comfortable and to grab their attention on photo shoots. That being said, you know your children best so we can work together to schedule a time that works around nap times to make sure everyone is in a good mood! And it’s always a good idea if you bring snacks with you (that won’t get their outfits dirty) to encourage them to participate.

Weddings
-
I offer custom wedding packages but anything longer than a 3-hour wedding will definitely have two photographers. You can also add on a videographer and/or content creator.
-
All of the images are culled through to remove rest shots, blinks, or really unflattering candids. Then they are edited to make sure the brightness and color are consistent throughout. If you require advanced retouching, we can discuss on a case-by-case basis. Anything that you select to go in an album or get printed has an additional round of advanced retouching.
-
It depends on your day, how active everyone is during the reception, how large your family and wedding party are and how many hours we are together. But in general, an 8 hour wedding will get 800-1000 images.
-
I have been to A TON of venues across central Florida, but I haven’t been to every single one. If I’m going somewhere new, I always look up photos in advance and arrive early to get a tour from the wedding coordinator or venue staff.
-
I will send a few sneak peeks a couple of days after your event and you will have your full gallery in 4-6 weeks.

The Orlando area gets rain very frequently throughout the year, so we do our best to work around it. I always try to be mindful of keeping you dry and safe while also giving you as much outdoor photo time as you were hoping for whenever possible. Most venues have good indoor options, or at the very least have your reception space that we can use for formal photos.
-
Yes, absolutely! I can be flexible to whatever you need. If you want lots of direction, I can give that to you, but if you prefer more natural candid interactions for your newlywed photos, I can coach you through that as well.
-
As long as everything is set and the room can be empty when we have time in our timeline to do it, absolutely! A lot of times, the second photographer will do this during cocktail hour while I’m photographing you and your new spouse.
-
As soon as you book your venue, you can book your photography! Some weekends fill up more quickly than others, so you want to start the conversation for your big vendors as soon as possible, even if it’s 2 years in advance!Item description

Every synagogue has different rules regarding this, so we will follow the rules of your synagogue. If you are working with a private rabbi or cantor and doing the service at a hotel or other venue, then we can absolutely capture the service!

This varies depending on how many people are involved in family photos, how long you have us at the party, how active the party is, etc. But typically a temple session and a 4-hour party will get 600-1000 final images.
-
Temple photo sessions will have one photographer and any receptions longer than three hours will have two photographers. You can also add on a videographer and/or content creator.

I will send a few sneak peeks a couple of days after your event and you will have your full gallery within 4 weeks.

As soon as you book your venue (or even before!), you can book your photography! Some weekends fill up more quickly than others, so you want to start the conversation for your big vendors as soon as possible, even if it’s 2 years in advance!
-
This depends on your industry. We can consider outdoor locations, coffee shops, photography studios or co-working spaces, but we will work together to sort that out!
-
The images are adjusted to make sure the brightness and color are consistent throughout the gallery. They are also retouched to remove blemishes, flyaway hairs and background distractions as well as to smooth skin and reduce wrinkles on clothes.
-
Once you make your selection for editing, you will have your retouched images back in less than 7 days.
-
Think about your business and the things you want to talk to your audience about on your website or on social media and think about what items make sense for you to have in your photos with you. Many common items include a laptop, cell phone, notebook, coffee cup, and books, but it can be anything that pertains to your business. For example, a yoga teacher might include a yoga mat, straps and blocks.
-
For traditional headshots, I typically recommend solid colors or smaller prints. Definitely avoid any logos other than your own company’s logo. If you are taking brand photos for your website, consider your brand colors and think about how you can incorpoate those colors into your wardrobe to make a cohesive palette on the website. I would still consider that for social media content but you have a bit more wiggle room to stray from your brand colors on social media. I’d still recommend solid colors or small patterns so that your face is still the main attraction!

Corporate & Nonprofit Events
-
It depends on the level of activity during the event, but generally around 65-85 images per hour of photography time.
-
All of the images are culled through to remove test shots, blinks, or really unflattering candids. Then they are edited to make sure the brightness and color are consistent throughout.
-
You will have the photos back within 7 days. If you need a selection of photos delivered next day for social media or a press release, that must be coordinated in advance.
-
Yes, absolutely! If this is something that is important, be sure to schedule photography to start 30 minutes before the event starts for adequate time to cover the set-up.
-
If there is open time during the event for us to go around and grab snapshots of guests smiling at the camera, we absolutely will! If there are particular individuals that need to be in group photos, we ask that a representative from your organization coordinate those groups for our photographers.
-
We typically send one photographer for nonprofit and corporate events, but we make that final recommendation based on the timeline of your event and the needs of the event. If there is a general cocktail hour and a VIP cocktail hour, we’ll need two photographers. If you would like table photos of all of the guests and have several hundred guests, we will need two photographers. But I will talk things through with you to give our best recommendation for you and what you need!
